Toyota has not officially confirmed that the Toyota Century SUV will get a convertible variant, but there is a strong possibility that it will. During the world premiere of the Century SUV, a design sketch of a roofless variant was briefly shown in the background.
Toyota’s Chief Branding Officer Simon Humphries also pointed toward the sketch when it appeared on the screen, so it seems Toyota is serious about selling a four-door, ultra-luxury SUV convertible. There are a few reasons why Toyota might be considering a convertible Century SUV. First, the Century sedan has a long history of being use by Japanese royalty and government leaders and a convertible version would be a more stylish and luxurious option for these occasions.
Century SUV convertible will be even pricier. Toyota’s innovative designs would make a convertible Century SUV unique and eye-catching. Toyota can build it, and there’s a market for it. If Toyota does decide to build a convertible Century SUV, it would be a truly unique and special vehicle.
Toyota would face challenges building a convertible Century SUV. The convertible top’s weight and insulation are the biggest challenges. Overall, it seems that the chances of a SUV convertible are pretty good. Basically, Toyota has teased a Century SUV convertible that could go into production in the near future.
The uniquely-style SUV was tease at the same event where the Century SUV made its global debut. Toyota expands Century brand to SUVs, catering to both existing and new customers. The Century convertible SUV may be produc in very small quantities. It will have the same platform and powertrain as the standard Century SUV. Both SUVs will be offer for sale alongside the Century sedan.

Lastly, Toyota showed off a convertible Century sedan for the 2019 royal parade for Emperor Naruhito. The Century SUV convertible could be for a special event or limited production.
