The new Skoda Octavia RS is set to debut in India at the Bharat Mobility Show, alongside the first-ever Indian showcase of the Kodiaq SUV.
The Octavia RS 245 was the last RS model sold in the country. The latest Octavia RS delivers 265hp and 370Nm of torque and will be showcased to assess customer interest.
The new Skoda Octavia RS is expected to arrive in India as a CBU (Completely Built Unit). Skoda previously launched the last two iterations of the Octavia RS—the RS 230 in 2017 and the more powerful RS 245 at the Auto Expo 2020—in limited quantities as CBUs.
The standard fourth-generation Octavia, assembled locally in India, was introduced in 2021 but discontinued in 2023 due to the implementation of BS6.2 emission norms. However, the model continues to be sold internationally and has even undergone a mid-life facelift.
The fourth-generation Skoda Octavia RS is set to be showcased at the event to gather customer feedback, with a potential limited release in India at a later date. It features a 2.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine delivering 265hp and 370Nm of torque. Being a CBU import, the Octavia RS is anticipated to carry a premium price.

While Skoda had previously suggested the possibility of locally assembling the facelifted fourth-generation Octavia, this remains unlikely for now. The version arriving in India will likely bear the ‘Exclusive Selection’ or the more familiar ‘L&K’ branding, aligning with its premium market positioning. Should local assembly materialize, the Octavia could be priced competitively around ₹30 lakh.
