Rimac Nevera Sets New Nurburgring EV Lap Record.

The Rimac Nevera has set a new production electric car lap record at the Nürburgring, surpassing the previous time held by the Tesla Model S Plaid. The electric hypercar completed the lap at a time of 7:05.298, making it the first in its category to break the 7-minute barrier.

The Nevera was drive by Croatian racing driver Martin Kodrić, who said that the car was “extremely capable” on the Nurburgring. “It was a challenging track, but the Nevera handled it perfectly,” he said. “I’m really proud of what we’ve achieved.”

The Nevera is power by four electric motors that produce a combined output of 1,914 horsepower. It can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 1.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 256 mph.

Basically, Rimac’s Nevera sets new lap record, cementing its status as an EV leader.

The new Nurburgring lap record is a further testament to the Nevera’s capabilities. It is clear that the Nevera is one of the most capable electric cars on the market and it is sure to be a popular choice for performance enthusiasts.

In addition to the lap record, Rimac also announced a new limited-edition version of the Nevera called the Time Attack. Time Attack: track-focused Nevera with more power, less weight and better aero.

Only 12 Time Attack cars will be built, and each one is expected to sell for over $2 million.

Although, Driven by Croatian racing driver Martin Kodrik, the Rimac Nevera smashed the previous production EV lap record by 20 seconds.

The previous record was Tesla Model S Plaid Track Pack, which had a lap time of 7:25.231. The Nevera produces 1,914 horsepower and 2,369 Newton-meters of torque from its four electric motors. It also has a 120kWh battery pack that provides a range of up to 490 kilometers (WLTP).

Lastly, The first Nevera Time Attack is black with lightning green highlights, including twin stripes, wheels and bumpers. The interior is black Alcantara with green stitching and a “Time Attack: 1 of 12” plaque.
