Nissan India has finally unveiled the Nissan Magnite AMT variant of the Magnite subcompact SUV, along with a special edition Kuro Edition. The AMT variant is available across all five non-turbo variants of the Magnite, while the Kuro Edition is available in the top-spec XV variant across both powertrains.
The Nissan Magnite AMT is power by a 1.0-litre naturally aspirat petrol engine that produces 71bhp and 96Nm of torque. It is mate to a 5-speed AMT gearbox. The Kuro Edition, on the other hand, is power by a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 99bhp and 152Nm of torque. It is available with both 5-speed manual and 5-speed CVT gearboxes.
In terms of features, the AMT gets all the same features as the corresponding manual variants. This includes a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 360-degree camera, a tyre pressure monitoring system and cruise control.
The Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition gets additional features such as a blacked-out exterior with black alloy wheels, roof rails, and skid plate, black interior accents, a 360-degree camera, a centre console armrest, wider IRVMs, a wireless charger and themed floor mats.
The Nissan Magnite AMT and Kuro Edition are expect to be launch in India in October 2023. Prices have not been reveal yet, but they are expect to be slightly higher than the corresponding manual variants.
Nissan Magnite makes the SUV more accessible, while the Kuro Edition is a unique and stylish offering.
