Mahindra Thar Electric 5-Door Concept Takes to the Next Level.

Mahindra Thar Electric the Mahindra has unveiled the Thar Electric 5-Door Concept, a new electric off-road vehicle that takes the Thar to the next level. Mahindra heavily modified the concept car based on the Thar, their popular off-road SUV, to accommodate an electric powertrain.

The Thar Electric 5-Door Concept features a 40 kWh battery pack that provides a range of up to 250 kilometers on a single charge. Mounting the battery under the floor helps to keep the center of gravity low and improve handling. Dual-motor AWD for off-road.

The Thar Electric 5-Door Concept has a sleek and modern design that is still instantly recognizable as a Thar. The front end features a new grille and LED headlights, while the rear end has been redesigned with a new bumper and taillights. Roof rack and side steps for cargo and roof access.

Inside, the Thar Electric 5-Door Concept features a spacious and comfortable interior. Black leather seats, 5-seater.

Although, large touchscreen infotainment system dominates the dashboard and controls the climate control system, audio system, and navigation system.

The Thar EV will not use the same ladder-frame chassis as the current Thar. Instead, it will use a modified version of Mahindra’s new INGLO dedicated EV platform, known as the P1. INGLO is a skateboard platform, battery under the floor.

Basically, This design allows for a lower center of gravity and better handling, which is important for an off-road vehicle like the Thar.
