Mahindra Scorpio N Pick Up Concept Makes Global Debut.

Mahindra Scorpio N Pick-Up Concept Signals Company’s Entry Into Global Pickup Truck Market.

Mahindra & Mahindra, the Indian automaker, has unveiled the Scorpio N Pick-Up Concept at its annual Independence Day extravaganza. Scorpio N SUV concept is was launched in India earlier this year.

The Scorpio N Pick-Up Concept features a number of design cues from the SUV, including the signature grille, LED headlights, and taillights. It also has a more rugged look, with black cladding and off-road tires.

The Scorpio N Pick-Up Concept has 2.0L turbo diesel engine with 170 hp and 380 Nm of torque. It has 6-speed automatic transmission. The concept also features a four-wheel-drive system with a low-range transfer case.

Mahindra has not yet announced plans to launch the Scorpio N Pick-Up Concept in production form. However, the concept signals the company’s intention to enter the global pickup truck market. The Scorpio N Pick-Up Concept has a good fit for South America, Africa  and the Middle East.

Here are some other details about the Mahindra Scorpio N Pick-Up Concept:

  • It has a wheelbase of 2,760mm and a length of 5,000mm.
  • It has a ground clearance of 220mm and a wading depth of 700mm.
  • It can tow up to 3,500kg.
  • It has a payload capacity of 1,000kg.

The Mahindra Pik Up Concept  designed at Mahindra India Design Studio (MIDS). It is a concept vehicle, so it has some wild styling details.

However, the front of the Pik Up is immediately recognizable as being based on the Scorpio N SUV. The headlights, bonnet, fenders and front doors are all very similar.

The bumper is new, with a massive bash plate and tow hooks. a very aggressively styled popped-out grille. The Pik Up Concept also has a snorkel for better water-wading capability and a roof rack with a wide LED light bar at the front. Features and tech also added in Mahindra.

Level-2 ADAS, semi-auto parking and 5G connectivity are some of the features mentioned. The Pik Up will also have a sunroof, which is a popular feature in India.
