Kia Syros EV to be launched in early 2026.

The Kia Syros made its global debut only last week, but it’s now confirmed that the all-electric version will launch in India during the January to March 2026 quarter. When it arrives, the Kia Syros EV will compete with models like the Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra XUV400.

The Kia Syros EV will be available only in a front-wheel-drive configuration and will share its platform with the Hyundai Inster EV.

Though detailed information about the Syros EV is limited, it is confirmed that the upcoming all-electric compact SUV will feature front-wheel drive and share its K1 platform with the Hyundai Inster EV, which is sold internationally. The Hyundai Inster is offered with 42kWh and 49kWh Nickel Manganese Cobalt battery options, providing WLTP-rated ranges of 300km and 355km, respectively.

Apart from minor exterior updates such as new highlights, badges, and aero-optimized wheels, as well as interior changes like EV-specific software for the displays and different trims and upholstery, the Syros EV is expected to resemble its petrol and diesel versions. The features and safety equipment are also anticipated to be the same, including Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, a panoramic sunroof, two 12.3-inch displays for infotainment and instrumentation, a 5-inch touchscreen for climate control, and segment-first reclining, sliding, and ventilated second-row seats.
