Although recent spy shots from South Korea keep most details under wraps, some exciting exterior changes are confirmed for the upcoming Kia Carens facelift.

  • Revamped Front End: Expect a new headlight design inspired by Kia’s latest models. These headlights might be connected by an LED light bar, creating a signature look that aligns with the Sonet and Seltos.
  • Modernized Wheels: New alloy wheel designs will add a touch of freshness to the Carens’ overall appearance.
  • Reshaped Rear: The rear of the car will also see an update, featuring redesigned taillights with a new C-shaped LED signature for a more contemporary look.

Inside the Carens facelift, expect mostly new seat fabrics and color choices. However, Kia is packing in more features, including a first-in-class ADAS driver assistance system and a 360-degree camera.

No engine changes are expected for the Kia Carens facelift. It will keep the existing 1.5L petrol (naturally aspirated and turbocharged) and 1.5L diesel options with various transmission choices.

The Kia Carens facelift is expected to be priced slightly higher than the current model (Rs 10.52 lakh – Rs 19.94 lakh) due to the addition of features like ADAS. It will compete against existing rivals like Maruti Ertiga, XL6, Toyota Rumion in the MPV segment and Hyundai Alcazar, MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari in the 7-seater SUV segment. Kia is also developing an electric version of the Carens (codenamed KY-EV) for the Indian market, but that will launch later.
