Hyundai i20 Facelift Teased, India Launch Likely in Early 2024.

Hyundai has teased the Hyundai i20 Facelift hatchback ahead of its expected launch in India in early 2024. The teaser image shows the car’s front end, which features a new cascading grille, revised headlights and a different bumper. The rear end of the car has also  redesign, with new taillights and a revised bumper.

The interior of the i20 facelift is expect to get a mild update, with new upholstery and features. The car is also expect to get new safety features, such as six airbags and a 360-degree camera.

The i20 facelift is likely to be power by the same 1.2-liter petrol and 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engines as the current model. The car is also expect to offer with a mild-hybrid system.

The i20 is a popular hatchback in India and the facelift is expect to further boost its sales. The car will compete with the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Toyota Glanza, Honda Jazz and Tata Altroz.

The i20 facelift is expect to be price in the range of INR 8 lakh to INR 13 lakh. The car will be available in both petrol and diesel variants.

Hyundai has not yet revealed the full details of the i20 facelift, but more information is expect to  release in the coming months. The car is expect to be launch in India in early 2024.

Hyundai released the i20 facelift globally in May 2023. Four months later, Hyundai India teased the upcoming hatchback, suggesting that it will be launch soon. The current-generation i20 was releas in November 2020, so the mid-cycle update will arrive in less than three years. The updates are mostly cosmetic, with only minor changes.

The updates to the front and rear of the i20 facelift are mostly superficial, with only minor changes to the soft plastic parts. The grille has been slightly tweaked, and the front bumper now features two large arrow-shaped inlets on either side.

The chin now looks wider thanks to a prominent, contrast black finish on the lower part. The teaser also reveals the new headlamps, which are similar in shape to the current ones, but are likely to be full-LED units.

The interior of the i20 facelift will remain largely unchanged, but there are some potential feature upgrades. These include the addition of a dual-dashcam, an updated digital instrument cluster and ADAS features.

ADAS stands for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, and it includes features such as lane keeping assist and forward collision warning. If the i20 facelift is equip with ADAS, it will be the only hatchback in India to offer this feature.

The i20 facelift is expect to have the same engines and gearboxes as the current model. This means that it will be power by a 1.2-liter naturally aspirate petrol engine that produces 83 horsepower, and a 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 120 horsepower.

The 1.2-liter engine will be available with a manual or CVT transmission, while the 1.0-liter engine will be available with an iMT or DCT transmission.
