Abarth 600 EV: The Electric Hot Hatch We've Been Waiting For

The Abarth 600 EV is an upcoming high-performance electric hot hatch from Fiat’s performance brand, Abarth. It is based on the Fiat 500 EV, but with a number of modifications to make it more powerful and agile.

The Abarth 600 EV is expect to have a power output of around 200 horsepower, which is significantly more than the 118 horsepower of the Fiat 500 EV. It will also have a sport-tuned suspension and brakes, and a more aggressive exterior design.

One of the most exciting features of the Abarth 600 EV is its Scorpion Track Mode. This mode will optimize the car’s performance for track driving, giving it more power, sharper handling, and a more aggressive throttle response.

The Abarth 600 EV is expect to go on sale in 2024. It will be a rival to other electric hot hatches like the Mini Cooper SE John Cooper Works and the Hyundai Kona Electric N.

Here are some of the reasons why the Abarth 600 EV is the electric hot hatch we’ve been waiting for:

  • It’s power by a powerful electric motor that will deliver exhilarating performance.
  • It has a sport-tuned suspension and brakes that will provide excellent handling and stopping power.
  • It has a stylish and aggressive exterior design that will turn heads.
  • It comes with a variety of features that will make it fun to drive, such as Scorpion Track Mode.
  • It’s expected to be relatively affordable, making it a more accessible option for enthusiasts.

Abarth 600 EV may have dual-motor powertrain like Jeep Avenger 4×4 EV concept.

Fiat’s new 600 EV is expect to receive a high-performance  variant in the future. This would be the second electric car from Abarth, following the 500e hatchback. Speaking to Autocar UK, Fiat and Abarth CEO Olivier Francois said that an Abarth 600e is “logical” but did not provide any further details.

The Abarth 600e will have sporty features like bucket seats, Alcantara steering wheel, eye-catching paint, and custom wheels. The 600e may have a fake engine sound like its sibling.
