The ninth-generation Toyota Camry has been launched in India at a price of Rs 48 lakh (ex-showroom). First introduced internationally over a year ago, the new model continues to feature a fuel-efficient petrol-hybrid powertrain, which is one of its key highlights. Toyota has announced that deliveries of the new Camry will begin immediately.
The new Camry is priced Rs 1.83 lakh higher than the previous model and comes with an ADAS suite tailored for the Indian market. It also features a new 230-hp fifth-generation hybrid engine.
he new Toyota Camry is priced at Rs 1.83 lakh more than its predecessor, which was priced at Rs 46.17 lakh. However, it remains Rs 6 lakh more affordable than its primary competitor in India, the Rs 54 lakh Skoda Superb. In terms of pricing, the new Camry can also be considered an alternative to luxury sedans like the Audi A4 (Rs 46.02 lakh), Mercedes C-Class (Rs 59.40 lakh), and BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine (Rs 60.60 lakh). Ninth-generation Toyota Camry is constructed using the TNGA-K platform. Its front design features Toyota’s “hammerhead” styling, with a sharp nose, sleek LED headlamps, and daytime running lights. The narrow grille nearly connects the headlights, while the ‘T’ logo is positioned higher than before. The bumpers have an almost Lexus-like anvil shape. Additional design highlights include a bold new character line along the side, redesigned 18-inch alloy wheels, and updated C-shaped LED tail lamps.
The ninth-generation Toyota Camry is available in the following exterior color options: precious metal, dark blue, cement grey, emotional red, attitude black, and platinum white pearl.
Inside, the new Camry features an updated dashboard design with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster alongside a 12.3-inch touchscreen for infotainment, supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and wired Android Auto. It also comes with a nine-speaker JBL sound system, a 10-inch head-up display, and digital key functionality.
The rear seats of the new Camry feature a reclining function, controlled via a rear center console. For enhanced comfort, Toyota offers 10-way powered ventilated front seats, three-zone automatic climate control, and a sunroof with a retractable sunshade.
The car comes equipped with Toyota’s Safety Sense 3.0 suite, the brand’s autonomous driving assistance system (ADAS), as standard. This includes features such as pre-collision assist with pedestrian detection, radar-based cruise control, lane-tracing assist, road-sign assist, and automatic high beams for improved night visibility. Additional features include nine airbags, front and rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera.
The new Toyota Camry is equipped with a 2.5-liter petrol engine paired with Toyota’s fifth-generation Hybrid System (THS 5). This updated powertrain delivers a total output of 230 hp, which is 12 hp more than the previous model. Fuel efficiency has also improved, now rated at 25.49 kpl by ARAI. As with other hybrids in the lineup, the Camry features an eCVT gearbox.

Toyota offers an 8-year/1.6 lakh km warranty on the Camry’s battery pack. Since the launch of the seventh-generation model in 2013, the Camry has been assembled in India through the CKD route, and the new model will also be produced at Toyota’s Bidadi plant in Karnataka.
