Hyundai Unveils the Exter Knight Edition Starting at Rs 8.38 Lakh

It starts at Rs 8.38 lakh and boasts several cosmetic updates to celebrate the Exter’s first year in India. The Exter Knight sports a sleek all-black look with red accents and is based on the SX and SX(O) Connect variants of the Exter.

Taking the Exter to a Darker Side: The Knight Edition

The Exter Knight edition builds upon the SX and SX(O) Connect trims, adding a menacing look with several exterior tweaks. Black takes center stage with blacked-out elements like side skirts, front and rear skid plates, and even the Hyundai and Exter emblems. Red accents provide a fiery contrast, adorning the bumpers, brake calipers, and even the wheels on the SX(O) Connect.

Darkness with a Touch of Red Inside

The transformation continues inside the cabin. The Knight edition gets a complete makeover with a sporty all-black theme. Red stitching and accents throughout add a touch of vibrancy. Special touches include red footwell lighting, black door handles and steering wheel with a satin finish, metal scuff plates, and Knight-themed seat upholstery with red stitching and piping.

Knight Rider: Exter Gets a Colorful Transformation

The Exter Knight edition expands the color palette for the micro-SUV with two new bold choices: Abyss Black and Shadow Grey. These join the existing Starry Night, Atlas White, and Ranger Khaki options. For those who crave a two-tone look, Shadow Grey and Ranger Khaki can also be paired with a contrasting black roof.

Same Engine, New Attitude

Under the hood, the Exter Knight stays true to its roots. It retains the proven 1.2-liter, 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine churning out 83 horsepower and 114 Nm of torque. You can choose between a smooth 5-speed manual transmission or a convenient 5-speed AMT gearbox.

Facing the Competition

The Exter Knight takes on rivals like the Tata Punch and Citroen C3. It also enters the ring with the recently launched Maruti Fronx, Toyota Taisor, Nissan Magnite, and Renault Kiger. But Hyundai isn’t stopping there. They’re developing a brand new crossover based on the Bayon, aiming to compete directly with the Fronx and Taisor in a higher segment.
