Xiaomi SU7: India launch details with specifications
Xiaomi showcased the SU7 in India, but it was specifically mentioned as a showcase and not a confirmed launch.
Xiaomi unveiled its electric car, the SU7 sedan, in India during their 10th-anniversary event. This EV first launched globally in December 2023.
The SU7 promises an impressive range of up to 830 kilometers (based on CLTC).
It packs a punch with 673 horsepower and 838Nm of torque, achieved through its all-wheel-drive system.
Importantly, there’s no official confirmation yet regarding an Indian launch for the SU7.
Sleek and aerodynamic exterior:
Designed by Xiaomi’s design chief, Sawyer Li, who previously worked on BMW models like the iX.
Similar in size and style to the Porsche Taycan and BYD Seal (approximately 5 meters long, 2 meters wide, and 1.4 meters tall).
Streamlined design with a low drag coefficient of 0.195 (claimed), for improved efficiency.
Minimalist and tech-focused interior:
Simple layout with a large central touchscreen as the main control center.
Digital instrument cluster keeps information readily available for the driver.
Head-up display projects important information onto the windshield for a heads-up driving experience.
Panoramic sunroof provides an airy and spacious feel inside the cabin.
The SU7 offers three battery options in China:
A 73.6kWh battery with a rear-wheel drive (RWD) configuration, good for up to 700 kilometers (km) of range (based on CLTC).
A larger 94.3kWh battery, also with RWD, extends the range to an impressive 830km (based on CLTC).
The top-of-the-line SU7 Max boasts a 101kWh battery pack that feeds a dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) system. This setup delivers a range of 800km (based on CLTC).
Performance punch:
The SU7 Max packs the most muscle, churning out 673 horsepower and a staggering 838Nm of torque. This translates to a blistering 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 2.78 seconds.
The RWD variants offer a more modest but still sporty 299 horsepower and 400Nm of torque.
The SU7 Max boasts a top speed of 265 km/h.

Note: CLTC stands for the Chinese light-duty vehicle test cycle, which may not directly translate to real-world driving range.
- No official word on Indian launch: While Xiaomi showcased the SU7 in India, there’s no confirmation yet regarding its official launch in the country.
- Potential pricing (based on China): If launched in India, the SU7’s pricing could start around ₹24.79 lahk for the base variant, ₹28.23 lakh for the mid-level SU7 Pro, and upwards of ₹34.42 lakh for the range-topping model (converted from Yuan prices in China). These are just estimates based on the Chinese market and may vary if the car comes to India.
