Maruti Suzuki launched a new Brezza variant, the Urbano Edition. It starts at Rs 8.49 lakh and bundles several accessories for a lower price than buying them separately. Maruti Suzuki Brezza gets a feature-packed Urbano Edition!
This new edition is available in both petrol and CNG fuel options. It focuses on enhancing the features of the base LXi and mid-range VXi trims.
What does the Urbano Edition bring?
For the LXi variant, Urbano Edition adds a bunch of useful features at a significant discount:
- Touchscreen infotainment system
- Rear parking camera
- Speakers
- Front fog lamps with garnish
- Front and rear skid plates
- Chrome trim on the front grille
- Body side molding
- Wheel arch kit
These features would typically cost Rs 52,370 if bought separately, or Rs 42,000 as a package. But with the Urbano Edition, you get them all for just Rs 15,000 on the LXi variant!
VXi gets Urbano upgrades too!
While the LXi gets a big feature boost, the Urbano Edition also adds some goodies to the VXi trim:
- Rear parking camera (if not already present)
- Fog lamps (if not already present)
- Special dashboard trim
- Body side molding
- Wheel arch kit
- Metal sill guards
- Registration plate frame
- 3D floor mats
These would normally cost Rs 26,149 individually or Rs 18,500 as a package, but the Urbano Edition offers them for just Rs 3,500 on the VXi!

The Urbano Edition is available on both petrol and CNG engines, with both manual and automatic transmissions. This wider range lets you choose the powertrain and transmission that best suits your needs.
Standard Brezza pricing and discounts:
The regular Brezza (without the Urbano Edition) starts at Rs 8.34 lakh and goes up to Rs 14.14 lakh, depending on the variant. It’s also worth noting that there are currently discounts of up to Rs 25,000 available on the Brezza, so be sure to check with your local Maruti Suzuki dealer for the latest offers.
Maruti Suzuki’s tactic: Following the Dream Series’ success
Maruti Suzuki is following a similar strategy used with the well-received Dream Series for the Alto K10, S-Presso, and Celerio. The Urbano Edition aims to boost Brezza sales by offering extra features at an attractive price. The positive response to the Dream Series even led to extending its availability.

Brezza’s Engine and Competitors
The Brezza sticks with a single powertrain option: a 1.5-liter, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine churning out 103 horsepower and 137 Nm of torque. This engine pairs with either a 5-speed manual transmission or an optional 6-speed automatic.
The Brezza faces stiff competition in the compact SUV segment. Rivals include the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, and the Mahindra XUV300, all competing in a similar price range.
