Electric BMW M60 Powerhouse arrives in India

Get ready for a thrill ride! BMW has started accepting bookings for the all-electric i5 M60 xDrive, the high-performance variant of the upcoming i5 sedan. This sporty version boasts a more powerful dual-motor setup compared to the standard i5 (which is yet to be launched in India).

Pricing details are still under wraps but expect a premium tag as the i5 M60 will be imported directly. This electric powerhouse is expected to be followed by the launch of the new-generation 5 Series and the standard i5 soon.

  • Double the Trouble: The i5 M60 packs a punch with a dual electric motor setup delivering all-wheel drive. This translates to serious power, with horsepower jumping from 509 bhp to 593 bhp depending on the driving mode.
  • Lightning Launch: Activate “Sport” mode or launch control, and hold on tight! The i5 M60 rockets from 0 to 100 kmph in a mind-blowing 3.8 seconds.
  • Thrilling Top Speed: Buckle up for an exhilarating ride. The i5 M60 boasts a top speed of an electronically limited 230 kmph.

Power on Demand, Range to Explore:

  • Unleash the Beast: The i5 M60 unleashes its full potential in Sport mode, with a combined output of 593 horsepower and a staggering 820 Nm of torque.
  • Flat Floor, Big Battery: The car gets its power from a 2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack tucked neatly under the floor. This design keeps the center of gravity low for sharp handling.
  • Charge Up Your Way: The i5 M60 offers 11 kW AC charging as standard, taking around 8 hours and 25 minutes for a full charge. Upgrade to the optional 22 kW wall box charger (available for purchase) and slash that time in half to just 4 hours and 25 minutes.
  • Muscled Up for Performance:
  • The M60 isn’t just about power under the hood. It gets a sporty makeover too, with a mean-looking blacked-out kidney grille and a more aggressive rear diffuser that screams performance.
  • Tech-Savvy Cabin:
  • Step inside, and you’ll find a familiar layout inspired by the latest 5 Series. The driver gets a high-tech cockpit with a large 3-inch digital instrument display. Passengers, with a massive 14.9-inch infotainment touchscreen running the newest iDrive 8.5 system, won’t be left out either. This advanced system even lets you play games and watch videos on the go

Comfort and Tech Merge:

Beyond the high-tech displays, the i5 M60 boasts a comfortable and luxurious interior:

  • Immerse Yourself: Surround yourself with ambient lighting that sets the mood.
  • Relax in Style: Heat the front seats with adjustable lumbar support for long journeys.
  • Climate Control at Your Fingertips: Enjoy an automatic climate control system with a micro-filter for cleaner air.
  • Safety First: The i5 M60 prioritizes safety with features like BMW Active Driving Assistant and a rear camera.
