Kia Carnival facelift : The fact that it will be coming to India

Yes, Kia has confirmed that the Kia Carnival facelift will be coming to India in early 2024. The facelifted Carnival is expect to make its global debut around January 2024.

The facelifted Carnival is expect to get a refreshed design with a new grille, headlights, taillights and bumpers. It may also get some new interior features and upholstery.

Kia is also expect to introduce a hybrid powertrain for the Carnival in India. The hybrid powertrain is expected to consist of a 2.2-liter diesel engine and an electric motor.

The Kia Carnival facelift is expect to be price at around Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards. It will rival the Toyota Vellfire and the upcoming Hyundai Staria in the Indian market.

Overall, the facelift Carnival is expect to be a significant upgrade over the current model. It will offer Indian consumers more comfort, style, functionality and efficiency.

Kia discontinued the third-generation Carnival in India in June 2023 as it reached the end of its product lifecycle. However, the company has confirmed that the facelifted fourth-generation Carnival will be launched in India next year.

At the Auto Expo in January 2023, Kia showcased the current-gen Carnival as KA4, which is now a three-year-old model. However, India will get the new MPV with its mid-lifecycle update. As seen in the spy shots below, the updated Carnival is getting a major styling overhaul to bring it in line with the newer Kia models.

The facelifted Carnival gets a more upright and angular design with L-shaped headlights and taillights, similar to the updated Seltos and the EV9 SUV sold abroad. The front and rear bumpers, grille and alloy wheels will also be redesign, giving the MPV a nearly all-new look.

Once again, the Carnival is unlikely to have a direct rival in India. The Toyota Innova Hycross will offer some competition at the lower end of the price range, while the recently launched Toyota Vellfire will compete with the Carnival at the higher end.
