The new Volkswagen Tiguan 2024 is expected to have a more assertive exterior design with sharper headlights and a wider grille. The interior will also be updated with a new dashboard and infotainment system.

Volkswagen has announced that the global debut of the new Tiguan will take place later this year. The third-generation SUV will be based on the new MQB evo platform and will feature a new design, more technology and hybrid powertrains.

New Tiguan to come standard with advanced safety features. It will also offer a variety of connectivity features, such as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The new Tiguan will offered with a choice of gasoline, diesel and hybrid powertrains. The hybrid modelsĀ  is expect to be the most popular, as they offer the best fuel economy.

Uncamouflaged Tiguan photos shared on social media and filmed in Ljubljana. The new Tiguan features chrome accents and a sleeker design than the current second-generation model sold in India.

The new Tiguan is longer and taller than the current model. It measures 4,551mm in length, which is 32mm more than the outgoing Tiguan. The new Tiguan is also 5mm taller, at 1,640mm. However, it has the same wheelbase as the outgoing model, at 2,681mm. The production-spec SUV seen in the photos is wearing 5-spoke wheels.

The Tayron will replace the Tiguan Allspace in India, but it will have a completely different design from the 5-seater Tiguan. Tayron to launch in India in early 2025, assembled in India through CKD kits.

Volkswagen is expect to offer the new Tiguan with a variety of powertrain options, depending on the market. These options are likely to include a 1.5-liter mild-hybrid TSI petrol engine, a 2.0-liter TSI petrol engine, a 2.0-liter TDI diesel engine, and two plug-in hybrid powertrains producing 201hp and 268hp respectively.

All models will come with a large 18.5kWh battery and a claimed all-electric range of 100km. Like the current model, the new Tiguan will be available with both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.

The new Volkswagen Tiguan 2024 will be available with a variety of powertrain options, including a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variant. Tiguan to launch in Europe in Q1 2024, Tayron in India instead.
